A one-touch, quick-lock mechanism makes it easy to attach or detach the 430EX II from the camera and a metal foot has been added for strength and durability. Flash controls can now be set through the camera's LCD screen on compatible EOS Digital SLR cameras. The Speedlite 430EX II is also quieter, recycle time is 20% faster (as compared to the 430EX) and since it is compatible with Canon's wireless E-TTL, it can be used as an affordable "slave unit".

Provide your camera with plenty of power with 4 ultra-high capacity 2900mAh Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) batteries and a multi-voltage rapid charger.

The Omni-Bounce EW Flash Diffuser creates a diffused bare bulb effect, and is designed specifically to fit the Canon 430EX Flash Unit. It gives even coverage across the entire frame, and works flawlessly with lenses from 15mm to 200mm in the 35mm format (as well as other formats). The Omni-Bounce is easy to use and attaches to your flash in seconds with a snug, custom fit, and not a single piece of velcro or other adhesive. Designed for years of service with out the bulk of some other diffusers, it is small enough to fit easily into your gadget bag or pocket, yet it makes a huge difference in all your photos.

This 6-piece cleaning kit contains a Hurricane Air Blower, Lens Cleaning Tissues, Lens Cloth, Lens Cleaning Liquid, Brush and Cotton Swabs.

Uponthe first glance, Namaqauland seems like just another broad semi-desert. But do not allow first impressions fool you! This unspoilt stretch of copper and diamond rich land is host to over 4000 species of plants, hibernating deep within the soil, awaiting the rains in order to spring forth and amaze us with their color and splendour!

An example of the usual flora to be found here, is the 'Halfmens' (or Half Human in english) scientific name Pachypodium Namaquanum. A strange, tall and slender succulent plant with a bushel of leaves at the top that resembles a human head!

Running through and along the Namaqualand is the Orange River, a great source of water, entertainment (with a great dose of danger, of course) and food to the inhabitants of this vast landscape of sand and granite.

Towns visited on this route include:

Springbok, Alexander Bay, Brandvlei, Calvinia, Concordia, Fraserburg, Garies, Hondeklip Bay, Kleinzee/Koingnaas, Leliefontein Area, Loeriesfontein, Nababeep, Nieuwoudtville, Okiep, Pella, Pofadder, Port Nolloth, Steinkopf, Sutherland.

When we proceed into this treasure buried beneath sand, the first town we find is Springbok (550km north of Cape Town). The capital of Namaqualand, Springbok is the site of the first commercial mining operations in the country. In 1852 the first Copper mine was brought into operation.

252km northwest of Springbok lies Alexander Bay, so aptly named, as it was founded by Sir James Edward Alexander in 1836. Alexander bay is famous for its Diamond mining activities and is the most northerly situated town along the west coastline of South Africa.

Pushing on we find Brandvlei, situated in the heart of Bushmanland, Brandvlei is host to tons of birdlife, San rock engravings and historic tales.

Calvinia, 418km north of Cape Town, was named after a religious farmer, John Calvin, is one of South Africa's largest wool-producing areas. Founded in 1851, Calvinia is situated right at the foot of the Hantam Mountains.

Concordia. Used as headquarters by Boer Commandos during the Anglo-Boer War in April 1902. This town was formed as a mission station by Rev. Brecher in 1852.

Next up is Fraserburg. Founded in 1851 in the west Nuweveld, the town is famous for its well preserved Victorian buildings.

Garies, a Khoisan word meaning 'couch-grass'. Some of this town's attractions include Letterklip (letter stone) and the spring flowers that bloom in springtime around the Kamiesberg area.

Hondeklip Bay derives its name from a stone resembling a dog near the police station. Hondeklip Bay was once the main harbour from which the copper ore was exported.

Kleinzee/Koingnaas serves one of the world's foremost diamond mines, De Beers Namaqualand Mines. A permit is needed to visit this town.

Leliefontein Area, Southeast of Kamieskroon, Founded in the nineteenth century, this area is home to biking trails, National Monuments, Cultural camps, and seasonal flowers.

Loeriesfontein is said to have been established by a group of trekboers who stopped at the fountain to listen to the Loeries. Thus the name.

Nababeep is home to the Okiep Copper Company and the region's largest copper mining town. Nababeep is derived from two nama words, Naba and Bib. Naba meaning 'hump of an animal' and Bib meaning 'small spring'.

Nieuwoudtville came into being in 1897, and is known for its unique vegetation, and the 100m hihg Nieuwoudtville falls on the Doring River.

Okiep was the world's richest copper mine until 1918, when production ceased. Okiep is derived from the Nama word 'U-gieb' meaning 'the great, brackish spring'.

Pella, 165km East of Springbok was a sanctuary for Khoisan driven out of Namibia. The town was founded in 1814 by the London Missionary Society.

Pofadder's main infrastructure is sheep farming. Named after the Koranna leader, Klaas Pofadder, this town's attractions include unique birdlife and historic monuments.

Port Nolloth, the only holiday resort on the diamond coast. Rich with Crayfish and Diamonds (of course), this town sports beautiful beaches, laid back locals, and Nama Culture. Established in 1854 as a small-vessel harbour and railway junction for the coppermining industry.

Steinkopf originated in 1819, founded by the Rhenish Mission Society for the Nama people.

Sutherland. Home to the world-renowned S.A Astronomical Observatory. Settled by trekboers in 1746, this town was established in 1855 and named after cleric reverend Henry Sutherland.
