How to Write an Effective Sales Letter to Make $200 an Hour

This seems to be the question of the year. This is because marketers know they can sell virtually anything and make a good decent living from home. Writing good sales letters does not have to be difficult, but does have a certain formula. Here are some good copywriting tips for writing a sales letter:
  • Tell an interesting story- In the beginning of your sales letter, you must pull the reader in. How was your life before you tried this 'product'? What stressed you out before this 'product' made your life better? In effective sales letters, you want to impress the reader, but you will have to achieve this quickly.
  • Now, it is time to introduce your product. When writing a sales letter, you do not have to say anything clever except for, "Introducing....Wexy Software!". It is important to showcase the product has the ultimate solution to the problem you stated in your story (in step one).
  • If possible, have a picture of your product. I understand that some products or services may not have a picture. For example, if you provide writing services, you cannot simply provide a picture for this service. In your sales letter, you can simply add a picture of yourself or a business logo.
  • Make the sale urgent- If you really want to know how to write a sales letter, you should know this is the most important rule. You want to make the reader think that the offer is for a limited time and it could be gone at any minute. In a good sales letter, the marketer will make the reader think that the price will be increased if they do not but it now.
  • Offer a lot of free bonuses. In sales letters, marketers have started to fail due to the fact of offering free bonus ebooks of no value and that are not related to the product! If you are going to offer a bonus, make sure it is something that is tangible. People love informational books, copywriting tips and ebooks. You can even make your own free bonus offers such as writing your own ebook, which is more effective because you will know more about your product. People love anything that is free.
  • Make sure to add a lot of testimonials. In good copywriting tips, people want to know what others have to say about the product. Try not to use old gimmicks like posting a fake picture with testimonials. People have caught on to this gimmick and are unimpressed. Besides, who would agree to their picture being seen by millions of people online?

Astronomy Picture of the Day

Astronomy picture of the day service is done by NASA and Michigan Technological University. In their website each and every day a photograph of the universe is put and beneath there will be a brief explanation by professional astronomers. Astronomy picture of the day was created, written and coordinated since 1995 by Robert Nemiroff and Jerry Bonnell. This particular archive does contain the largest collection of annotated astronomical pictures that one can find in the internet.

Bob and jerry were two astronomers who spend almost their whole life in researching the universe. The credit for all those images in the APOD goes to those institutions and owners where it was originated. Some of these pictures may have copy rights. So in order to show or use these pictures one must ask for the authorization of its owner. Again all those earlier pictures are archived. By accessing the archive page one could find all those pictures.

A person can send or submit their astronomical pictures to be shown in the internet. But the peculiarity of the picture will be thoroughly viewed before being induced. If the person owns copy right on the picture being submitted then he should have to give permission for the concerned authorities to use the picture. In order to show the picture to the authorities of APOD is to load the picture to a web page and then sending the URL of that page to them.

APOD pictures are altogether collected in a CD ROM. If the owner of the picture does not want his/her picture to be included in the CD ROM then he should separately inform this to the authorities. The main authority includes NASA. Again one could only use APOD as his PC desktop background if it is purely personal, non-public, and non-commercial. One can buy pictures in the APOD by visiting a site approved by NASA. On clicking on the picture a higher resolution picture can be viewed. Sometimes a higher resolution picture may be available with NASA. To view this one should follow the links provided in the text. A copy right owner can be also easily found by going through the links provided near the picture.

APOD daily pages selections have been compiled in two books namely "UNIVERSE: 365 days" and "Astronomy: 365 days". For the year 2000-2005 APOD pages are available in the form of CD. NASA has got lots of pictures with them to be published soon in the APOD web page. So the future of APOD is still bright if we consider the availability of pictures.

Lots of exciting pictures are sent by many people to be published in the web pages. Thanks to the enthusiasm of these good friends of APOD. Most of the APOD texts are written by Robert J.Nemiroff and Jerry T.Bonnell. APOD is one of those first sites to make journalistic use of full web hypertext since 1995. A full web hypertext means the APOD text is annotated liberally with hyperlinks. Thus links to anywhere in the internet is made out where relevant and useful information is present. This hypertext cannot be claimed to be perfect and can be only good in some sense.

LCD Televisions - A List of Ten Advantages Over Plasma TV

Invariably in your search for a flat panel TV you will be faced with the decision of LCD or plasma. There's a lot of good information on the web, however the technology is dynamic. Manufacturers scramble to close disadvantages and win market space. Your final decision on your new TV should be based upon your own eyes- go to the store and look at the LCD widescreen, and then look at the plasma TV next to it and choose what you like best. There are advantages to each type of TV- here are the top ten for LCDs.

1. No burn in - Static images can leave permanent ghost images in a plasma tv. Plasma manufacturers have developed some anti-burn in technology, be sure to check it's there before you pick a plasma over LCD.

2. Brighter - LCD TVs perform better in bright environments than their plasma cousins. If you have a well lit room, add a point for LCD.

3. Less glare - Hand in hand with a brighter picture, less glare means a better picture in the living room with picture windows.

4. Runs cooler - If you have two televisions of equal size- say a 42 LCD and 42" plasma TV, the LCD will run cooler. There's some debate, but generally speaking cooler is better for electronic components.

5. Less power- Watt for watt you will use less electricity with a LCD TV. It will probably only be a couple of dollars per month, but if you're ecology minded it's a point to remember.

6. Long display life - 60,000 hours - LCDs will typically at least a decade- possibly quite more depending upon your use. Plasmas have made some strides, but be sure to read the specifications if in doubt.

7. Lighter - LCD televisions are lighter- this may be important depending upon where you are considering mounting the television, and of less importance, shipping.

8. Smaller sizes available under 32" - LCDs are getting bigger, and plasmas are getting smaller, but right now if you're looking for a good HD TV under 32", it will be a LCD.

9. Performance at higher altitudes - Due to a pressure differential in the plasma gases inside a plasma display and outside it, plasma TVs have to use a bit more power to display a picture at altitudes above 6,000 feet or so. This differential results in a buzzing sound due to higher power required to render the picture, and sometimes the TV's fan will kick on. If you live at a higher altitude be sure to consider a LCD television, or make sure that your plasma has been specially built to handle the altitude.

10. Price - Prices are dynamic, but as LCDs get bigger and make inroads on the plasma market, there are some bargains to be had where competition is at its highest (say around 42"); and you can find LCDs that are less expensive than plasma.

You should also consider how your new TV will be used- there are certain disadvantages to LCD when it comes to blurring fast motion (read the specifications -- manufacturers are improving), viewing angle (also improving- but if you have a group that regularly watches TV be sure to form a semi circle around the TV in the store and check it). A LCD TV makes a great alternative to plasma.

Hot Looking Layered Hairstyles - Step By Step How To Maintain That Magazine Picture Look!

Long layered hairstyles are probably one of the most popular and versatile of styles that you will see today. You can find some of the hottest styles on celebrities such as Jennifer Anniston and Pamela Anderson. Both of these beautiful ladies always look picture perfect no matter whether they have their hair cascading over their shoulders or they have it beautifully placed on top for a sexy up-do.

So you have picked out some of your long layered hairstyles that you like and had the salon give you the look, but now the hard part is keeping the look hot long after you leave the salon. Most of us do not know how to keep our hair looking like we just stepped out of the pages of a magazine. By following a few simple tricks that the celebrities use, you can look like one of them all the time. If your hair is prone to frizzing then be sure to use an anti frizzing serum to tame it down. You can also add volume to your hair with volume enhancing products, giving you the appearance of fuller hair.

The trick to getting that just out of the salon look is how you blow dry your hair. Perhaps the best trick to learn is to bend at the waist while blow drying the underside of your hair to give it maximum volume. Once you have the underside dry you will need to stand back up and dry the top in sections with a large round brush to work out curls and ensure even drying. Finish up with a large barrel curling iron to give the effect of natural curls. Do not brush the style, simply use your fingers to separate the curls and get your desired look. When done, with a bit of luck you'll end up with one of the best long layered hairstyles you've seen! You will now want to spray your hair with hairspray and a shining agent to keep it looking shiny and healthy throughout the day.

Hunting For Great Galleries With Picture of Tattoo Designs

Most people will never have a problem pulling up tons of galleries that have picture of tattoo designs. The problem is that most of these people will not find the "good" artwork out there and will instead run into a huge sea of generic, low end art. Why does this happen so much? Because most of us rely on search engines, which are horrible at showing you where the good galleries are. Here is a better way to locate many of the websites with great picture of tattoo designs.

If you truly like generic, cookie cutter tattoos, then you can continue to use search engines until your fingers are raw. They will pull up a slew of websites that have thousands of ten year old tattoos like that. I don't know why search engines don't pull up the fresh, new galleries that have good picture of tattoo designs, but they don't do that most of the time. The good part is that the web is loaded with fantastic artwork, but you will need another searching option to actually locate the galleries that have them.

The best tool for doing this, by far, happens to be internet forums. If you truly want quality picture of tattoo designs, forums can be your new best friend. The big forums are always packed with past topics about tattoos. This is where you can scan tons of posts and find out where people across the globe are running into some of the best artwork the web has to offer. It's as simple as that. If anything, it gives you a good outlet for when you are tired of the same generic picture of tattoo designs you keep seeing when going through pages of search engine results.

No matter where you wind up searching for good picture of tattoo designs, you should take your time to find the "perfect" one for your tastes, because you'll thank yourself in the long run.

Here are the 3 largest, most original websites to browse for the perfect picture of tattoo artwork...

Adam Woodham is the author of this article and runs the site Quality Tattoo Art, which features the 3 top websites, with the absolute largest gallery of tattoo styles you will ever see. Finding the perfect tattoo has never been easier.

Simple Bra Test Tells if You're Wearing the Right Bra Size

Get a picture of yourself when you were younger, preferably when you had just gotten your boobs and they had stopped growing, for comparison. With your bra on, with or without a blouse, stand in front of a mirror that's large enough to see your whole body from the waist up.

Stand up straight, and look at your boobs from the front, then turn and look at your right side, then turn to see your left side. As you answer the following questions, refer to your picture to compare yourself now to the way you looked as a teenager.

  • Does your bustline look perky, uplifted, firm and alluring? Be honest.

  • Do your boobs feel like they're supported and uplifted, or do they feel like they're sagging? You should be able to tell if the weight of them is pulling downward.

  • Does it look like your bustline is starting to merge with your waistline?

  • Do you have bulges below your underarms? Those bulges are actually separated breast tissue, and shouldn't be there.

  • Does your chest above your boobs look bony because the weight of your boobs is causing them to sag, giving your more space there than you had when you were younger?

  • Now raise your hands in the air as if you're holding a beach ball above your head, and move your arms in circles to the right, then to the left. Is your bra staying put, or is it moving around when you move? It should stay put.

  • Take your forefinger and put it under one of your boobs, at the very bottom of where it grew out of your body, and turn side to side so you can look in the mirror. Is your boob sagging, covering your finger? If so is it covering your finger by a lot, or just a little? Neither one is good, but a lot is worse than a little.

With these answers, and with your old picture to compare yourself to, now you should know for sure if you're wearing the right bra size.

About Inventing

Some people can only picture things in their mind that they have seen. Others with a little more creative mind can picture something in their mind if it is described to them.

The most fortunate are those that can picture a complete machine or system that doesn't exist, but would solve a particular need if it did.

From my experience, I believe that education does not necessarily give you this gift. I have worked with engineers with degrees from very good schools that could not design a machine unless it was sketched or described to them in detail. They could make improvements on an existing design, like making the next years automobile better than last years, but never come up with original ideas.

If you have this gift, please don't let it go to waste. The only reason that we don't still live in caves and get our food with our bare hands is due to people with creative minds. Our standard of living improves continuously because of the constant flow of new products and processes. Throughout history there have been creative people like Leonardo da Vinci and Thomas Edison who have greatly improved our standard of living with their amazing creative minds.

You dream of coming up with a good idea and making millions. It happens, but not over night, and not without a lot of work. Maybe you already have a great idea and don't know where to go with it.

The following chart shows how many utility patents were issued for a given year. Notice how the number has grown every decade. (Data from the U.S. Patent office.)

  • YEAR - PATENTS
  • 1836 - 1
  • 1846 - 4348
  • 1856 - 14009
  • 1866 - 51784
  • 1876 - 171641
  • 1886 - 333494
  • 1896 - 552502
  • 1906 - 808618
  • 1916 - 1166419
  • 1926 - 1568040
  • 1936 - 2026516
  • 1946 - 2391856
  • 1956 - 2728913
  • 1966 - 3226729
  • 1976 - 3930271
  • 1986 - 4562596
  • 1996 - 5479658
  • 2005 - 6836899
This shows that every year there are more opportunities for inventions.

Success means we go to sleep at night knowing that our talents and abilities were used in a way that served others. - Marianne Williamson

A dictionary says that an invention is a product of the imagination. That's often true, but more often it is a result of observation of a need and working out a way to fill that need. Other times it is the result of unexpected outcome of an experiment. Every day there are probably thousands of people who think they have come up with a world-shattering idea. Very few will ever do anything with it. Some will try to develop the idea but are soon discouraged or just don't know where to start with developing the idea. Some will put a lot of energy and possibly money into the effort, just to become discouraged by a few negative results from their efforts.

Many great inventions are the result of accidents. The inventor that observes the accident has to have an open and imaginative mind. Let's look at the invention of the microwave oven. It was reported that in 1945 an employee of Tappan Stove Co., named Percy Spencer, was standing in front of the power tube of radar called a magnetron when he felt a candy bar in his pocket start to melt. He then placed popcorn kernels in front of the tube and they exploded. Ten years later Spencer was awarded a patent for a radar range that cooks with high frequency radio waves. The Tappan Stove Co. introduced the microwave oven.

The above is some excerpts from my book "How to Invent, Patent, and Market"

Help! My Meter is a Moron! - Creative Controls For DOF

If we said that Depth of Field was the range of focus found in any given picture, we would be partially right. Just as a camera is the box that captures light; it is also much more than that. A camera is made up of many parts. Depth of Field also has many parts. There are several other terms that relate to what this particular concept of design can do for us. The phrases Aperture, Shutter, ISO, Hyper Focal Distance, and Bracketing are all good to be aware of when you start to really get into Depth of Field.

Depth of Field (DOF for short), is usually associated with the aperture which is often used interchangeably with the word f-stop. The Aperture controls the amount of light that passes through the lens and onto the film; or in the digital world, onto the sensor inside the camera. This amount of light is determined by the size of the lens opening (the aperture) inside the lens. On the older traditional 35mm cameras, the settings on the outside of lens that controlled this function were called f-stops. Thats why even though technically they are two different things; many writers use the words aperture and f-stop as if they were one and the same. Its like calling the door knob, a door. You do use one thing to affect the other, but they are NOT one and the same.

The greater amount of light the aperture allows in, the narrower the depth of field is, and visa versa; the less amount of light the aperture allows inside, the wider the depth of field is. Many beginning students get confused by this. Since the f-stop is what controls this light, the easiest way to remember it is:

Small number = small f-stop (f 1.8) = small amount of picture in focus.

Large number = large f-stop (f 32) = large amount of picture in focus.

The Shutter also affects this same light; where as the aperture controls how much, the shutter controls how long. If the shot is exposed for too long a time the photograph will appear washed out. If the shot is exposed for too short a time the photograph will appear too dark. This is commonly referred to as: over exposure and under exposure. Shutter Speed (how long things are exposed); can be used to freeze things in midair (with a fast speed), or it can be used to intentionally blur something like water (with a slow speed).

As a general rule if you want to freeze something you want a shutter speed of 1/500th of a second or faster. As a general rule if you want to blur something (on purpose), you would use a slow shutter speed like 1/30th of a second or longer. Just remember, that generally you only want part of the picture as a blur so when you do use slower speeds, also use a tripod.

Before your camera can set the correct aperture and shutter speed for any given subject, it needs to know how fast it can collect the light. The speed at which this information is gathered is referred to as the ISO speed. ISO stands for the International Standards Organization; which is the group that created the standard, so that if you got 100 speed films in Germany, England, or Japan they would still all respond the same way.

The general range of ISO speeds in all cameras (digital or otherwise) is from 100 to 1600. The higher the ISO speed the faster the camera collects light, but it also adds more noise to the photograph than lower speeds. This noise is what older photographers often refer to as how grainy a picture is. Most of the time you should use your camera at a lower ISO speed if there is enough light to do so. But for those times that you want to take pictures in dim light without a tripod or flash you can raise your ISO speed so your pictures are not blurry.

Wherever you focus your lens within a given image, there will be an area that is in focus and other areas that are out of focus. The area that is in focus is referred to as the focal plane. The important thing to remember is that 1/3rd of this focal plane is in front of whatever you focused on, and 2/3rds of the focal plane is behind whatever you focused on. By deliberately focusing 1/3rd of the way into your landscape shot and using a high number f-stop (like f-16 or f-22) you capture the greatest amount of the photograph in sharp focus.

Some people have the mistaken idea that if you just set your focus to infinity that it would do the same thing. The infinity setting that looks like an 8 turned on its side, will give you an indication that says anything say from 10 feet back will be in focus. So what happens if you want to include something that is less than 10 feet away? Thats where the hyperfocal distance comes into play. When you use the hyperfocal distance you focus on something that is half of what the front infinity setting indicates, in this case that would be five feet. Since we know that 1/3rd of the area in front of your picture will be in focus, it gives the illusion that every part of your picture is in equal focus. Whether you use the 1/3rd in rule or set the hyperfocal distance, they both give you a greater sense of a large depth of field which is good for both landscapes and scenic shots.

If you always trust your camera meter and use what it tells you, you are using what we what refer to as a standard exposure value. Exposure Values are those numbers that refer to the combinations of f-stops and shutter speeds that can give you an accurate exposure under a given light situation. Keep in mind that your meter is a moron! Meters do not see in color, in order to make up for this it will average your scene, and give you a reading for 18% grey. All meters do this its not their fault, thats how they were designed. But what happens if you actually want a white wedding dress to look white? Or what happens if you want that great black stallion to actually look black? Thats where bracketing comes into play.

Most digital cameras and traditional 35mm cameras will allow you to compensate or adjust the cameras meter reading by 1 or 2 EVs. Since most people do bracketing by adjusting the f-stops this will also effect your depth of field as well as your over all exposure. If your moron, I mean your meter tells you the perfect exposure is f-5.6 @ 1/250th of a second that will give you an average reading for 18% grey. If you want your subject to look brighter than just average, you would shoot at say f2.8 @ 1/250th of a second. If you want your subject to look darker than average you would probably shoot at f-8 @1/250th of a second.

Just as many pictures look better after you take them into Photoshop and increase or decrease the brightness or contrast settings; many images actually look much better if they are exposed slightly more or less than what the meter suggests. This process of shooting above, directly at, and below what the meter indicates is referred to as bracketing. If you are in an especially difficult lighting situation or a location that is in and of itself very hard to get to . . . use bracketing. If your camera batteries are getting low, use bracketing. In short, if you have any doubts in your mind at all, use bracketing. Not only will you be guaranteed to get a useable shot, you might well get a shot that is dramatically better than those who trust a moron to make the decisions for them.

The more you know, the more you grow. Using these controls to enhance Depth of Field in your pictures will help take you to the next level. Not all cameras will allow you to change all these features, but if you explore your manual and find out what you can control . . . you become the master. A great photographer uses his or her camera as a creative tool. Those who only take snap shots let the meter (who is a moron) do all the work for them.

The situation of not being able to decipher this missing information may be detrimental to your financial well-being, and that is why most advisors suggest 3 in 1 credit report.

Adobe Photoshop CS3 - 3D Pop Out Image

This Adobe Photoshop CS3 tutorial will demonstrate how you can make a figure in an image pop-up from the background and the image border itself. It is a very cool effect if you do it correctly. It also works better if you have a better image to work with than the one you see below. However, this should be good enough to demonstrate what is possible. I hope that you find a better use for it than I have. I have found this useful to use in newsletters when you send out pictures of people and it makes the scene come to life and everybody feels really good about themselves. Enough of the chit-chat though. Let's continue with the tutorial.

First, let's open up the picture we want an object to jump out of!

Image #1

Now we must change the name of the picture layer from background to something else and then copy it. You must also create a new layer and drag it to the bottom of the layer list.

Image #2

Now we will change the background color of the image to white.

Image #3

Now you can see the new white background layer.

Image #4

The next thing you want to do is select the layer that is on top of the list.

Image #5

Then select the Quick Selection Tool.

Image #6

Use the Quick Selection tool to trace the object that you want to pop-out of the image.

Image #7

Now you want to right-click on that area and select (inverse). This will select the outside area of what you have selected. Then you can press the delete button or right-click and delete and that area will be erased. That is when you will see the white background from the bottom most level.

Image #8

Now select the layer that is in the second position.

Image #9

Now we will take a section of the picture that we want to retain inside of the picture frame. Anything outside of this region will either disappear or become part of the pop-out effect.

Image #10

Now will select the "Mask Button" that is below the layers. You can see my cursor pointing to it.

Image #11

Now you have a finished project. A little weak in its effect and maybe not appealing, but it works none the less.

Image #12

I am sure you will have much better ideas of what to do with this knowledge and how to use it. Now that I think about it I think that I could use it in some places right now that would help me out a little. I think I will get to work on that. The 3d pop-up effect will be great for making pictures of your family and friends come alive right before your eyes. If a picture is worth a 1000 words then a pop-out picture is worth 5,000! Have fun exploring Adobe CS3 and always strive to learn more!

If You Need an Inexpensive Alternative to Custom-Made Frames - Find What You Need Online

If you create artwork in commonly found sizes, such as four by six inches or eight by ten inches, and if you create a lot of artwork that you wish to display, ready made picture frames can provide a cost-effective solution to your artwork display conundrum. You can find ready made metal picture frames, wood picture frames, and wood photo frames, plus picture framing supplies, that allow you to frame your own artwork in style.

Metal Picture Frames

Metal picture frames make a great addition to artwork that will be on display in a room with modern and contemporary architecture and furnishings. The sleek and slender black metal frames are also used to frame photographs that are put on display in fine art galleries around the world. A plain black frame does not offer a color distraction that might be found to be unappealing with dramatic black and white photographs, which is why it is a frame of choice for galleries. Ready made picture frames are made out of metal and are available online.

Wood Picture Frames

Wood picture frames come in a wide variety of rich and lustrous ready made styles as well. Wooden frames can be used to enhance the look of your canvas art, pastels, or water colors by using stains to color the wood in hues that appropriately match, contrast or complement the colors used in the piece of art. The wood can also be polished but left unstained in order for the natural beauty of the wood to shine through. Wooden frames are also often carved and ornate, which can also enhance the splendor of the artwork held within its boundaries. Ready made picture frames are available in wood selections, offering you a great deal of beauty at a very reasonable price.

Wood Photo Frames

Wood photo frames are the choice of several artists who want a special look for a unique photograph. Not every home or office setting offers the spare and stark backdrop for which metal frames were created. In these instances, when you are looking for a warmer-toned frame for photographs, then photo frames made out of wood can be a wonderful complement to the photographs. Wood frames can come in a variety of finishes as well, such as gold or silver leaf, antique gold, walnut, cherry, Spanish gold and antique ivory, to name but a few of the many wood finish choices available in ready made picture frames.

No matter if you want metal or wood, ready made frames offer you the highest quality picture frames at the best prices on the market today.

It is the best way to popularize your product. If people refuse to take your word for it the best way around it would be to allow the people to try your product.

The Importance of Sound in a Child's Life

We all take sound very much for granted. It is omnipresent. For the most part the only time we really take note of it is when we complain about something being too loud or too soft, otherwise it's just there. But it is amazing what it does for us. It allows us to communicate easily. And it gives us a sense of place. Obviously being able to converse with other humans, and even animals to a degree, is a wonderful gift. But it's all the other stuff we hear all day and into the night that is so vital to the way we feel about where we are. Kids are, for most part, born with very sensitive hearing. You may find as a parent that watching TV at a level that's comfortable to you is painfully loud for your youngest whippersnapper. Air shows, motor racing and firework displays are not generally places very young kids like to go for that very reason. But once past that stage they quickly progress to listening to music much too loud, as all of us 'oldies' used to do, only now it can be more damaging to the ears as we're all wearing headphones of some description and the music is very high fidelity.

I've worked in the film industry for many years. Sound effects and music have always been my specialty. Now I'm creating a new type of entertainment for kids that also involves sound and music - digital picture books - and because childrens' picture books come with no sound at all, I'm given a completely blank slate to work with. The best possible situation I could hope for! What I find myself doing is reading the book out loud and imagining what background and foreground sounds might have been there. I remember from my youth just how very important the sounds around me were. I may travel somewhere now and catch a snippet of noise that takes me right back to a specific place in my mind from many years previously. My childhood memories of sounds are particularly vibrant. Lollipop sticks in bicycle wheels, Dad mowing the lawn, the train set, waves on the beach, and even the birds we'd hear in our garden. Funny things like a croquet mallet hitting the ball; ice cubes coming out of their rubber container; a match being struck; Sounds that become an identity for a specific spot or time. Sounds we may even identify with a particular person.

So for the online digital picture books for kids I'm creating, it is my aim to build a soundtrack that children will remember not just as a part of the book but as a part of the world that story was told in as well and as a part of their own little world while watching the book (they are visual audio books). For instance, I will include distant tractors, dogs barking, church bells, water being poured, footsteps on gravel, and even a stylus being lowered onto an LP! Okay so I may be older than you, but I bet my memory is more "sound" than yours!

Sound maps our life's path, from birth to deaf. For those of us who are fortunate enough to be able to hear, the world would be an unbearable place without it. Put your fingers in your ears for a few minutes for a quick example of how very tedious it would be. It certainly makes us all appreciate the gift of sound.

Oh, and when you next read to your child, don't forget to throw in a few sound effects - you'd be astounded at the wonderful reactions you get!

Sound is beautiful - give it a listen sometime.

Homulus Saphienus Audiophilius Humane

It's a kind of hopeless creature that survives in our world for more then fifty years.

Made of one sex only. Due to female kinds not being available, it can not grow by doing sex. He keeps up their generation by splitting like amoebas.

He has a special method to keep up his generation. He finds an ignorant disciple and becomes a good advisor to him. He then sells all his crap equipments to him. If he is fair enough, good equipments may be purchased with good prices. If not, a very pleasant trading event occurs and all the second hand crap was sold by twice of the market price.

These transactions are called as driving actions or beating actions around the society of Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane.

When the ignorant disciple becomes educated in time, he realises the nature of driver actions. He froze the relationship with his hero and tries to find out a disciple for himself. So, their population keeps up growing.

Due to the fact above, very unpleasant Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane criticizes his former disciple in every platform even with his grand mother by the claim that "he does wrong things and buys wrong equipments."

Some sort of intelligent trading guys discovered such peculiarities of Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane, make above mentioned driver and beating actions professionally with a good pleasure.

An interconnect cable which cost was 10 $ is purchased by 200$ in the Homulus saphienus audiophilius human's world but nobody likes it. The producer wraps, 1$ worth of shielding around, nylon and other enlarging stuff to enlarge, very necessary wooden box is added and the same cable is sold to 2.000 $. This cable becomes the reference cable of all Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane.

He is determined. He is never happy with his equipment buys but keeps up buying.

He does not like at all if the equipment is thin, small and light. He adds some sort of feet or platform underneath to look bigger, puts some marble or brick on top to make it heavy.

He buys the biggest loudspeaker available. He even prefers smallest listening rooms, so the speakers look bigger.

He purchases the most powerful amplifier but listens at the least volume. He calls this headroom. He does not care spending 100 times more money to not used watts rather then actual consumed power.

He is pious. He believes in two holly books called Stereophilus and Soundus Absolitus. He 100% recognizes the validity of the articles and never accepts any critics about them.

He purchases equipment by coincidence with a good price. Than surfs on internet for days to validate his purchase and to collect evidence that "it was one of the best equipments in the world". Then he tries to persuade others that "he had made investigation for a long in advance and decided to purchase it particularly".

Some of their kinds do not like taking risk. These kinds do not trust in their ears, hence purchase the same brands that most of the others use. If he is faced by any critics, samples the others as reference.

He collects thousands of CD s but only listens at a few of his references. Rest of the CD s are just to show off.

Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane sometimes listen at music. But this is generally due to selecting them for the audiophile meeting coming on weekend in his house. He picks up the best records in advance, mark them very intelligently throughout other CD's. Once the listening session comes, he goes to his CD rack picks up one by change and demonstrates his system to others. The message is clear "his system is capable of playing any ordinary selected CDs perfectly".

He is lofty. Although he was communicated by email five times to participate Hi-Fi Club meeting on next Wednesday, he does not attend if not called personally by phone.

He is introverted. He does not like to be together with others so long. He likes to be called always and he likes to be out of reach. He establishes one of the biggest Hi-Fi clubs in the world in Istanbul, achieves to 160 members but twenty-five of them may came together in a formal meeting at maximum.

Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane does not attend to live acoustic concerts. He is proud of his brother who performs percussion. He believes that he is keen on natural sounds due to his brother. If he sometimes goes to a concert by a free invitation ticket, it is most probably not an acoustic concert. He tries to achieve the same crap sound at home.

Pure Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane tries to achieve the most natural sound but he doesn't know what the natural sound is. He listens at live acoustic piano from few centimetres but finds the sound dull. He insists that the real piano should have been more detailed and open. If he finds a big concert piano by change in somewhere, he puts his head inside of the body and EUREKA, this is the piano sound he was looking for.

He purchases an equipment to 3.000 $, adds an electric wire costs 3.000 $, adds a platform underneath costs 2.000 $, changes the tubes by NOS cost 1.000 $ and then listens at.

But he is still dissatisfied. After a while, replaces the original internal cables of the unit, sockets, plugs, resistors, capacitors, spends another 2.000 $ for that. He sells that equipment to 1.000 $ six months later. That case is repeated for years.

Not to forget here that he spoils couple of equipments due to the fact above and spends considerable amount of money and time to get them fixed.

He knows everything better then others. He reads two magazines, makes few tweaks, and then tells in long sentences as if no one knows what he is talking about. He even adds a couple of body work, hands, arms, fingers to his talking to make it more attractive. When talking in excitement, he does not realise that the others watch him in astonished faces.

He often does not like the sound of another audiphilus's system. He immediately accuses a particular component in the hi-fi chain in spite he does not know any of the components in the chain. "You will have very good sound if you change your CD player ...."

He immediately accuses the entire system in spite there was a recording error in CD. "Something is wrong with your system; I heard a distortion on that track"

He reads a lot but not to learn or to enjoy. His aim is to show off others how knowledgeable he is. He tries not to forget at least up to the weekend that they will come together with other audiphiluses.

If his expressions are not well regarded by the other Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane, he does not argue at all. He references such, such web sites ... my friend, you should read .... Web site first of all and after should dance with me

When going to other Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane for listening sessions, he takes his reference CD's with him. He listens at them maximum for two minutes and expresses with a strange looking face that I heard what should I hear, you may turn your system off and we can chat

If he was invited for a listening session, he pretends not concentrating the owners system. However, you can make sure that he was comparing the sound with his own system. He does not classify his thoughts if he likes the sound.

If the system sounds good, he rejects other music offered by the owner. He tries to direct the listening session to the chatting session by asking to the person sitting next to him, .... How does your system business going my friend, any equipment changes!

If he does not find the sound similar to his system, he interrupts the listening session, volume is get down and the tweaks, recommendations are blustered away with other Homulus saphienus audiophilius humans in chorus. Sometimes he is such desperate that does not recognize five hours passed like that. He suddenly abandons on call of his wife.

He purchases a new speaker by spending all of his money; he thinks that it was a good purchase. He calls other Homulus saphienus audiophilius humans to show how good they are sounding! At the end of the day, he is such a sad and planning to sell his speaker by half price. These transactions are called giving shit in Homulus saphienus audiophilius humans world. Giving shit is maximised at the car park or in the night by telephone traffic of invitees.

He is consistent. He purchases equipment. After a month looses his enthusiasm unnecessarily, sells it to half price. He runs down the equipment to anybody including his grand mother. After six months, he listens at the same equipment in somewhere else but likes the sound; he purchases it again by saying "his problem was in somewhere else".

Above mentioned movements occur several times; eventually he makes his final decision that this equipment is not good.

If he decides to sell his equipment, he takes it with him to a friend for his own testing purposes. If the fish is in the hook, he sells the equipment involuntarily due not to upset his best friend

A kind of Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane likes wherever he listens at to and sells his system to it's half price next day.

Another kind of Homulus saphienus audiophilius humane does not like wherever he listens at to. He makes everything to make the system owner sells his system to its half price on the next day. Such kinds sometimes feel prick of conscience due to their blames that they would go to hell one day and listen walkman in there.

He purchases an interconnect cost 3.000 $, tells to his wife that he paid only 30 $ to it. His wife thinks "giving 30 $ to such a shit is idiocy. He even does not listen to his friend who is in construction business repeatedly says "the cabling of entire building of 15 floors cost less then 3.000 $ to his construction company"

If the has a large audiophile companion, a cable purchase may last for maximum six months. He will receive full recommendations from everybody that "why he should not use that cable". Eventually it is for sure that the cable will be sold to half of buying price. Due to that fact, it is a big opportunity to follow up the cable purchases of such kind of Homulus saphienus audiophilius humans. You may purchase a just burned in brand new cable by that occasion to half price.

He goes to someone for listening session but does not like the sound. He goes back home and does not like the sound either. He became furious and starts popping in to hi-end shops quietly. If a couple of Homulus saphienus audiophilius popped in to the shop together, it is for sure that they just came for chatting. But if a single Homulus saphienus audiophilius human popped in before noon time, it is for sure that the opportunity of new beating action is coming.

He likes the back side of components rather the front faces. When he pays you a visit, he immediately looks at the back side of the equipments if the connectors are WBT, Watt Agates etc, etc.

He spends years and eventually makes an excellent system but listens at drum solos, cymbals, garage door noise, spit, etc rather then music.

Recording companies include such silly noises as creaks, squeaks, rain noises, car noises to the background of the records to make the Homulus saphienus audiophilius humans happy. Such CD's became so popular within that world and all the systems are tested by these records such as Jazz at the Pawn Shop.

Another kind spends fortune to combine a perfect system but purchases piracy copied CD's in order not to pay 15 $ to a CD.

Homulus saphienus audiophilius man is very hopeless creature. Measures should be taken by the authorities to keep up their generation. This letter should be recognised as a warning letter to the authorities.

One of the best reasons to get satellite TV service is that you get access to literally hundreds of channels that range from news to sports to films to music videos to religion to home shopping to international programming. Now, out of all the hundreds of channels you have, determine how many of these you can actually view.

It's a common mistake among first-time satellite TV service subscribers to get carried away by the figures. After all, who wouldn't want to boast of having access to 350 channels at the neighborhood barbecue? Never mind that you probably only spend a few minutes each day browsing through about 50.

When choosing a satellite TV service for you, consider the kind of stuff you want to see and will actually make time for to view. If you like lots of premium film or movie programming, for example, DISH Network may be the better choice for you. If you prefer premium sports programming, then perhaps DirecTV is the right provider.

Consumer or corporate?

Decide whether you need to apply for a consumer subscription or a corporate subscription. Most providers will give you bundled offerings that include TV access, phone and Internet. Find out which one offers the best deal for your specific needs.

Do you like high-def?

If you have a new TV that can handle high definition images, why let it go to waste? Take advantage of what satellite TV service companies are offering you and let your TV show its stuff. If you like high-definition programming, choose the satellite TV service that offers more channels in this type of programming.

Do you like international programming?

There are many reasons why people are opting for multicultural TV programming. In fact, this has become so popular that it is actually considered a genre these days. For one, international programming offers you excellent access to many of the world's cultures.

If you like learning about other countries - their customs, traditions, practices, even their language/s, then you might want to consider choosing a satellite TV service company that offers this type of package. Multicultural TV programming is an excellent source of learning and information, particularly for specialized studies or language learning. Most shows are captioned for easy comprehension.

Simply choose whether you prefer to view individual channels or buy entire packages altogether for better value. You could choose from a number of language channels including Chinese, Spanish, Korean, German, French, Russian, Farsi, Armenian, Tagalog and Polish, among others.

Do you need the hardware?

Generally, when you have your satellite dish installed, you can't take it with you should you wish to move. However, in terms of hardware, there are satellite TV service companies that give these away.

Living off the grid?

Most of the major satellite TV service providers offer access for subscribers who live in the countryside or other remote locations. When choosing a satellite TV service, look for a company that focuses on the type of location you have. There's a good chance they might have the best service.

The "Too Old To Start Ballet" Age - And Build Strength To Dance In Pointe Shoes

Whatever art or workout you choose, you start just where you are. How to choose a teacher is what deserves the first careful focus of your time.

If there are several studios in your area, check out their site, and then phone and visit them. Ask if you can watch part of a class.

While most older students will not immediately produce the right look or execution of any ballet position or movement, the teaching should be the same. Accurate technique should always be explained.

The pace and presentation of 'late starter' classes will be different. There may be an assumption that certain aspects of ballet will never be achieved, and working safely is the priority. The more imaginative teachers will be able to present an adult beginner class with simple, artistic and elegant exercises.

Fears about weight should be dealt with from a health point of view. Ballet is definitely more difficult if you are overweight. If you are still growing, cut out the junk food and extra breads and carb snacks. Eating real fresh food is best, and you need never be starving.

An adult who wishes to lose weight might add an aerobic workout to their daily routines, 2-3 times a week. And if eating fresh whole foods without breads, potatoes and pasta does not achieve weight loss within a few weeks, see a medical doctor. Low thyroid, blood sugar irregularities and other hormone imbalances, and medications may be playing a part in this. (This could be true for teens too).

If you want to eventually do classes in pointe shoes, you simply must persist with the basics of ballet technique until your work is correct and strong. How long this will take depends on the teacher, how many classes you take per week, and your ability to concentrate.

So not being too old to start, choose a ballet teacher, build strength, deal realistically with fears about weight, and perhaps you will study in pointe shoes one day.

You Run 100 Miles!

Most people know someone who has tackled the marathon distance but did you know there are those who go beyond that? If you're curious about how and why a person would take on the challenge of running 100 miles then read on.

1. Do You Sleep During The Run? No, personally I do not. Since these are races my goal is to finish the distance as quickly as I can; also there is a 30 hour time limit for most 100 milers leaving little time for naps.

2. Do You Walk? Yes, I would say that I walk about 30% of the total distance (30 miles). The "plan" is to walk the uphills, jog the flats and run the downs; of course if the race is relatively flat then you must include scheduled walk breaks. At Arkansas Traveller I didn't follow this plan and ran everything for the first 16 miles which almost caused me to DNF early in the race due to the heat and humidity.

3. Do You Eat While You Run? Yes, you're supposed to. In a 100 mile race I'll burn around 15,000 calories so it is essential that I replace these calories during the run. For me I have a hard time eating as I tend to have no appetite and an unsettled stomach; I force myself to eat whatever "looks" good or something I can just gulp down. At Arkansas Traveller I lived on Coke and Soup during the last 60 miles but typical aid station fare includes Soda, M&Ms, Gels, Sports Drink, candy, chips, cookies, PB and Jelly sandwiches, boiled potatoes and about anything else you can imagine (pancakes, sausage, bacon, hamburgers, etc.). You must also replace your electrolytes during the race by either consuming salt or electrolyte capsules. Personally I take Succeed Caps and in hot weather consume about 3-4 an hour; during the AT100 I took over 60 S-Caps throughout the 24 hours I was running.

4. Do You Stop To Rest? There are aid stations about every 4-5 miles where we fill our water bottles, grab something to eat and see our crew if the station is accessible to them. My rule is to get in and out of an aid station in 2 minutes or less as I take food out with me to eat while I'm walking. My crew usually walks along side refilling me with Hammer Gels, S-Caps, Woerther's Candies, Starlight Mints, Clip 2 and Tums. I almost NEVER sit; as the old ultra saying goes "Beware of the chair!" It has been the cause of many DNF's (Did Not Finish) for other runners.

5. How Long Does It Take To Run 100 Miles? As Davy says in his response it really depends on the course. Kettle was my first 100 miler and I finished in 27 hours and 11 minutes due to the fact that I walked the entire last 38 miles. At Arkansas I finished in 24 hours and 35 minutes as I was better prepared both mentally and physically for the night portion; I practically ran an even split (1st 50 miles in 12:09 and last 50 miles in 12:26). My short-term goal is to run a sub-24 but my "stretch" goal is to beat 22 hours.

6. Why Do You Like To Run 100 Miles? That's the Million Dollar question that I get all the time! First and foremost I like to push myself to see exactly what I'm capable of; the feeling of accomplishment when you finish is unsurpassed by anything else I've ever experienced. I love the people I meet during the journey and the beautiful places I get to see. I've learned a lot about myself; I can achieve anything I set my mind to and when the going gets tough I'm able to handle the stress in a calm manner (something I try to apply in everyday life). I enjoy reflecting back on the race and going through the "play by play" with family and friends; it's like reliving the excitement all over again! Lastly, you can't truly appreciate "rest" or a shower until you've run a 100 miler.

7. How Long Does It Take You To Recover? I'm usually running again by the next weekend although I stick to trails and go no further than 7 miles. Typically I do a "reverse taper" and am back to my average weekly mileage by about 3-4 weeks after the race. I ran the Rock Creek 50K three weeks after Traveller and missed my 50K PR by 3 minutes placing 7th overall; my recovery time is getting shorter and shorter as I get more miles on my body.

8. What Do You Think About As You Run? When running a race of this distance you focus on how you're feeling (body scan from head to toe and internally), keeping your hydration/electrolytes in balance, following your fueling strategy and what you're going to need at upcoming aid stations. When you scan and something isn't right you then move into a solution oriented mode to figure out what you need to do to fix the problem before it gets any worse. If you are at a REALLY LOW POINT you start thinking about why you're doing this as you search for meaning and inspiration to push on.

9. How Much Do You Have To Train? I average about 50 miles per week and a typical week consists of 4-5 runs of 6 to 10 miles and one long run over 15 miles. The Long Run is really the key as it primarily trains the endocrine system to handle the stress you will encounter during a 100 miler. I ran at least one race of 50K or longer practically every month this year.

10. Doesn't It Hurt? Yes! There are times when the pain seems unbearable; you must know the difference between "safe" pain and pain which signifies a problem so serious that you must quit. By about mile 50 everything hurts to some extent so it simply becomes varying degrees of pain. At Arkansas I actually started feeling better as the race progressed during the last 50 miles; I've found that for me late in a race it is less painful when I'm running than when I'm walking or standing still. As Davy said, after the race the pain subsides but the memories and sense of accomplishment last a lifetime!

11. Do You Get Blisters? I am blessed in that I have very few foot problems and rarely get blisters. If I do they are small and relatively insignificant; I usually don't even notice them until the race is over.

12. What Kind Of Shoes Do You Run In? I run in trail running shoes and love the Asics Gel Trabucos; I've tried others but keep coming back to these. I also wear Injinji Socks, use Sole orthotic insoles and Dirty Girl Gaiters. During Arkansas Traveller I ran in the same pair of shoes the entire race, never changed my socks and my feet felt great (it's all relative).

13. How Many Miles Do You Run In A Year? I just started running in September, 2005 so:
2005 - 492 Miles, 2006 - 2454 Miles, 2007 - 2750 Miles

14. How Often Do You Run 100 Miles? I've only run two 100 milers and completed both of them in 2007. I also ran races of all distances including two marathons, six 50K's, one 6 Hour Timed Event and one 50 miler. For 2008, I will run fewer races and plan to participate in three 100 milers; I will run less 50k's and no marathons.

15. Do You Win? Not Yet. I am relatively young and early in my ultra career; the highest I've placed in a 100 miler was 20th at Arkansas. My running times in general have improved quite dramatically this year and I do think that someday I'll be able to run a sub-20 hour 100 miler. Is that good enough to win? Depends who shows up that year.

Using A Reese Witherspoon Hairstyle To Look Elegant And Feminine

A Reese Witherspoon hairstyle can give you simple sophistication!

There are many talented actresses who have hair that every woman wants, but the time, stylist talent, and money invested to get and maintain those looks, are things that most of us don't have.

But using a Reese Witherspoon hairstyle to look really elegant and feminine is very simple. She is well known for her classic look and sophisticated style, which is always complemented by the different styles she likes for wearing her hair. She has had many different looks over the past few years, and they can all be done from home with just a few styling products.

A Reese Witherspoon Hairstyle Signature Look

One of her signature looks is her long straight hair with long bangs, and it can be copied very easily. First apply a spray gel or frizz control agent to keep hair looking smooth and flawless, and to also add some definition to the ends. Then run a hair straightener thorough it to work out any kinks, and finish off with a brush to add some texture. This look works great with layered hair when creating a soft look, but can also be done with stick straight hair that needs a little life.

One way that Reese Witherspoon keeps herself looking fresh and sophisticated is with her up-dos, which can be done with either long or short hair. She normally teases up the top or sides of her hair and then pins it back to make it look smooth and structured, and then the back can be done in a number of different styles depending on hair type and length. Using a Reese Witherspoon hairstyle to look stylish yet casual is easy with this basic style, since it can be thrown back into a ponytail or left down for added volume.

Like most famous actresses, Reese Witherspoon also experimented with the bob, and it really worked great for her. It can either be left stick straight for a fun look that is choppy and layered, or large curls can be added to change a day look to night. Add some hairspray or spray gel to the curls to keep them together without a sticky look, or apply wax to straight ends to make them stand out. Using a Reese Witherspoon hairstyle to create an attractive new look can easily be done with a bob, since it is very versatile and easy to work with.

Exercise Shoes - Buying Tips To Find Your Ideal Pair

Exercise shoes can trip you up when it comes to buying a pair suited for your feet. Avoid the pitfalls (and blisters), use these tips to shop for the best exercise footwear for you.

I've got it badly wrong in the past. Lights, mirrors, great displays, pushy sales people and I was straight to the till.

Big mistake. It's not all about looks when buying footwear for exercise.

The right footwear will help prevent injuries and stimulate correct technique. Both essentially, go hand-in-hand. Many overuse injuries start from poor technique when running or walking.

Your feet have specific needs. The key is buying according to those needs. When you next go shopping for exercise shoes, remember to take these tips with you.

Buying Tips

1) Socks. Wear the socks that you usually wear for exercise, or the thickest socks you have.

2) Insoles. Take any insoles or orthotics that you have been prescribed. Put them in the exercise footwear when you try them on.

3) Timing. Head to the shops late in the day. Your feet swell towards the evening, you'll be buying for your maximum foot size.

4) Comfort. Your ideal exercise shoes should feel comfortable instantly. Run away from anyone who tells you they need "wearing in".

5) Test run. Test the shoes by walking, running, jumping and lunging in them. If the shop doesn't have enough space, ask to go outside and test them.

6) Fitted heels. Your heels should fit closely, without any slipping. Check for any rough edges that may rub against the top or sides of your feet.

7) Toe space. Push your thumb down on the toe area. There should be space for a thumb width between the shoe's end and your big toe.

8) Cost. A high price doesn't necessarily mean great quality. Shoes that are endorsed by sports people, have an added price because of their name. Consider how often you'll be using your exercise shoes. Look to extend your budget if you know you'll use them more than 3 times a week.

9) After you buy. When you get back to the comfort of your own home, try them on indoors first. Just to confirm the test run in the shop wasn't a one-off. It's your last chance to check the comfort without getting them dirty, so you can still return them if need be.

10) When to hit the shops again? The guidelines say after 400 miles of use. Use your judgment. If the padding (e.g. gel or air) has gone, the sole is worn or the comfort level has disappeared, it's time to shop for a new pair.

Remember..

Exercise shoes affect your whole body. From your ankles, shins and knees to your back and hips. Great footwear will go a long way to keeping you free from injury.

Be sure to choose the specific shoes tailored for your sport. It sounds obvious, but just under 2/3 of people playing sport in the UK, wear the wrong shoes for their sport (according to The Society of Chiropodists and Podiatrists).

So if you play a sport regularly, make sure you have the correct shoes. Running shoes for running, football boots for football, basketball shoes for basketball and so on.

It's all about comfort and fit. Keep your feet happy by treating them to your perfect pair of exercise shoes.

Shopping for Infant & Children's Shoes - Quality vs Price

They go through them as if they were candy, but they are an every day necessity for keeping those tootsies safe. Whether they are laying around in their comfy convertible car-seat while shopping, or if they are toddling down the aisle while you pick up the latest news. It is important to keep your child's feet covered with style.

From a retailers point of view, generally parents start out with the world renowned soft-soled baby bootie. These of course, hold little purpose than to keep those tootsies warm, or covered from the suns harmful rays. However, once your baby begins to crawl it is necessary to have a change of pace. When your child is beginning to crawl, you will still need a softer sole on the shoe, however considering the protection they will need from elements. Shoes with a supple leather, or foe-leather sole tend to work great for these shoes. They come ready to wear with a stretchy elastic band on either, or both sides of the shoe allowing it to be fairly easy to put on those wiggling foot, while being fairly difficult to pull off.

After this stage, before you know it your child with begin to walk. I would suggest obtaining a slightly more durable version of your crawling shoes (Generally produced by Robeez). I have found that these shoes lend themselves fairly well to the un-sure footing of an infant trying to walk. They produce fewer trip hazards than a tie-on, or a Velcro strapped shoe.

However, once your child has gained their footing, the sky is the limit with these shoes. Although, you may be tempted to purchase the cheapest shoe around since your child will just grow out of them. I would suggest otherwise, Quality is of the utmost importance for keeping your child safe from tripping, and chances are you will spend more on the cheap shoes in the long haul, since they simply aren't made to withstand the harsh beatings that your toddler will be putting upon them.

If your child has wide feet, much like my own daughter. Your task might seem daunting, retailer after retailer has nothing that will fit. Some, fit in a fashion but doesn't seem quite comfortable enough. I would suggest finding those shiny new foot protectors online. There seems to be an abundance of wide shoes to allow a number of children to be romping around in style.

Shopping for baby clothes and children's apparel? Add style to your baby with a designer t-shirt, a black onesie or a funky diaper bag. We carry black baby clothes, rock toddler t-shirts, maternity apparel, punk baby onesies and baby shoes. Find the perfect new baby gift or matching mom and baby set for a new mother.
