Men should certainly have cameras. In this way they could be unique and it is definitely better. Approaching as a photographer would really let her guard down because it is such a subtle approach. It is a nice way to start a conversation. She would not see you as an aggressor because you set the mood in a light and friendly manner. The camera became a tool to lighten up the mood. The camera could give you the confidence that you need to approach women without being aggressive or being intrusive. You could start of having a decent conversation afterwards.
